Parents who wish to apply for a place at Perryfields Infant School must do so through Essex County Council Pupil Admissions.

Parents will receive an application form from Essex County Council in the October prior to the September of the academic year in which their child will be 5 years old. The closing date for all applications will be specified in the application pack. Letters are posted to parents informing them of the school at which their child has been offered a place. If you have not received an application pack by mid November you should telephone and ask for admissions on 0345 6032200.

Our admissions criteria is:-

1.       Looked After Children.

2.       Children with a sibling attending the school or the partner junior school.

3.       Children living in the priority admissions area.

4.       Remaining applications.

In the event of over subscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority.

Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above.

At Perryfields Infants there are two reception classes.  Children begin school at the beginning of the Autumn Term of the year in which they are 5 years old.  Whenever your child's birthday they may begin school, full-time in September of the academic year in which they are 5.
