Admissions

Parents who wish to apply for a place at Perryfields Infant School must do so through Essex County Council Pupil Admissions.

Parents will no longer receive an application form from Essex County Council.  The responsibility for applying for a school place rests with parents.  The availability of the common application form, available online and printed in the Primary Education in Essex booklet (also published online), will be publicised on the Council's website.  The form will also be available on request from the Local Authority.  Parents will be able to make applications online and to refer to the Council's website for admission policy information published in the relevant booklets.  The closing date for all applications will be specified in the online application pack.

If you need any further information please telephone and ask for admissions on 0345 6032200.

Our admissions criteria is:-

1.       Looked After Children.

2.       Children with a sibling attending the school or the partner junior school.

3.       Children living in the priority admissions area.

4.       Remaining applications.

In the event of over subscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority.

Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above.

At Perryfields Infants there are two reception classes.  Children begin school at the beginning of the Autumn Term of the year in which they are 5 years old.  Whenever your child's birthday they may begin school, full-time in September of the academic year in which they are 5.

We are very happy to show parents/carers around our school, so please call to make an appointment – 01245 268714
