At Perryfields, teachers run after school clubs for children in Years 1 and 2 during the Spring and Summer Terms. It gives the children the chance to make friends with those from other classes and to develop skills and interests in new and exciting areas.
Spring term club nights 2019
This term the clubs have been:
Puzzles and Games
Summer term club nights 2018
This term the clubs have been drawing, cricket, yoga, dance, I-pads and Beebots, nature, games and gardening. Here is what some of the children had to say about club nights:
In the summer I went to drawing club. It is in Miss Connett’s classroom. I drew flowers, stars, houses and hearts. My favourite was stars because they are shiny.
I go to a club and that club is cricket and I like learning new things. We do it on the field when it is not raining and if it is raining we do it in the hall. I wear my PE kit.
On Thursday after school I did yoga. I did some stretches and balances and tricky moves. My favourite is partner moves because I fall over. It is in Miss Gilson’s classroom.
I went to nature club. We did it outside. We did looking for mini beasts and making leaf men and nature trains. I enjoyed the most looking for mini beasts.
On Thursday I go to gardening club in the allotment. The thing that I did was pulling out weeds and then we planted runner beans. I enjoyed picking up worms!
After school I went to dance club. We slowly rose up from our feet next to our partners and then we wiggled our hips and then we turned our hips. We get to wear our pretty dresses and it is really fun.
