Diamond and Pearl class had an excellent afternoon at Baddow High School playing with other schools in the football tournament.

Storytelling in Diamond Class

We really enjoyed listening to Man on the Moon and Bob and the Moontree Mystery by Simon Bartram. 

We retold the story in groups and then planned and wrote our own stories which we read to Sapphire Class!

Layer Marney Tower Visit

We had a wonderful day at Layer Marney Tower! We really enjoyed learning about Tudor life and taking part in some fantastic activities. Have a look at some of the activities below like maypole dancing ,archery and finding out about the armoury. Back at school we found out more about the Tudors and then planned and wrote a persuasive leaflet encouraging people to visit the Tower and have an amazing day!

World Book Day 2025

We had a fantastic week celebrating World Book Day. We really enjoyed sharing books with Year 5 and meeting our visiting author Catherine Emmett. Her book Sammy Striker inspired us to write our own stories about Sammy. She loved Diamond Class's enthusiasm for writing and the characters everyone invented!

We had an amazing visit to Colchester Zoo! We enjoyed meeting Santa and finding out lots of facts about reindeer.
