Special Education Needs and Disabilities
At some time in their school career a child may need extra support. The Special Needs Coordinator (SENCO) is responsible for overseeing the work of supporting children with additional needs. This support is planned using the SEND Code of Practice. Parents/Carers and children are involved from the beginning of the process and are encouraged to work in partnership with the school.
Our School SENCO is Miss Bethan Williams, she can be contacted by calling the school on 01245 268714, please do not hesitate to contact us if you feel your child may have a special need.
At Perryfields Infant School we welcome all children, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We aim to be fully inclusive and aim to ensure all children who may have additional needs are supported to achieve the best they can. Children with SEND are admitted to the school under the same arrangements as all other children in accordance with our Admissions Policy.
Our School SEND Information Report below outlines how we identify and support children with additional needs and how to access support for children with a high level of need through the Essex Local Offer.
